Inspired by the original Group Theatre of the 1930s, co-creators Michael Blevins and Justin Boccitto formed the award-winning Group Theatre Too (GTT) in 2003. The collective began as a home for resident dance company, Generation Tap, as well as GTT’s original social awareness play, Aftermath, published through Heuer Publishing. GTT has produced a multitude of events throughout the country including the New York revival of Seesaw, the award-winning NYMF musical, Count To Ten, the annual dance showcase, The Choreographer’s Canvas, as well as original plays by David Rimmer, concerts, cabarets and educational programming for young performers. Training for professional actors also was offered by GTT through the Broadway Performance Project, a mini-conservatory created by Broadway-veteran, Kimberly Vaughn. GTT’s performances have appeared at The United Nations, Circle in the Square, Theatre at St. Clements, Manhattan Movement and Arts Center and the 92nd Street Y.
